An Anacortes oil refinery is overlooked by Mt. Baker in the distance.
The strange beauty of an industrial setting...
Returning to Victoria from our Oregon and Washington adventure, we decided to return via the Anacortes to Sidney ferry, instead of the usual Coho ferry from Port Angeles.

We spent a couple of nights camping outside Anacortes. Across the bay from our camp site, we could see an oil refinery, framed by Mt. Baker in the distance. In the warm orange glow of a setting sun, it had a beauty all its own.
