I wasn't able to get any photos of the recent partial solar eclipse that crossed Canada coast to coast, so this past photo of unusual atmospherics will have to do instead.
Technically, this is known as a fog bow. It occurs when the sun is at your back as you face a bank of fog. Wikipedia tells me that mariners call them 'sea-dogs' which is a more colourful, if ambiguous expression.
This was taken during an early morning stroll along Tofino's Mackenzie beach.
