City by the sea...

On the same day that I took the photo of Mt. Baker, I took this photo -- actually a composite -- of Victoria's downtown core. That ribbon of water behind Victoria is the Strait of Juan de Fuca (aka the Salish Sea) and if you look to the right side of the photo you'll see one of our Canadian warships on its way out of the nearby naval harbour.  Those mountains in the background are actually located in Washington State.

If you click and view the photo at its original size and you know what you are looking for, you can pick out numerous landmarks, particularly on the right side of the photo.
